Beware of Ice Conditions

As the weather fluctuates in our area,, ice conditions can still be dangerous. Fire officials reminding you that they recommend to wait until the ice is at least four inches thick before walking on it. Any time rain is in the forecast, that can alter the ice as well which creates dangers for anglers. Ice could be moving especially on the areas that are flowages. You may think you’re in deep thicker ice, but if you hit the river channel you could have two inches next to eight inches of ice according to officials.
